Unforgettable experiences in this especial part of Brazil, known as the Land of Canyons

An Adventure through the vast canyons of South America, in the magical Brazil
Jonatar Evaristo
*Trails housing deep crevasses and crystal clear rivers lead adventurers from throughout the world to unforgettable experiences in this especial part of Brazil, known as the Land of Canyons.*
On that sunny afternoon, during the entire return trip to Bom Jardim da Serra, silence and exhaustion hovered like a bird in the permanently dusty air of the Land Rover Defender 110. The guides, Tiago and Luciana, sat on the trunk’s leather seats, with Cláudia and the couple, Alexandre and
Christiane, ahead of them. I still couldn’t believe I did what I did. Could not believe it.  We’ve crossed 93 kilometres, on foot, through the vast canyons of South America, between the states of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, in the southern part of Brazil.

The region of Vlora bay - Karaburun - Cika Mountain lies on the southwestern part of Albania and it has been distinguished as one of the most interesting key biodiversity areas of the entire Mediterranean basin, holding a wide variety of flora and fauna species. This area is without any doubt, one of the most touristic sites of Albania, not only due to its high natural values but also for rich history and culture. Here are found almost all touristic elements of Albania, in just a small surface of land. All this, brings the exiting thought, that this mosaic of nature and culture has been created there just for tourism. In this area, are found some of the Albanian’s most beautiful coast and beaches; the only peninsula of Albania – Karaburun; the largest island of Albania – Sazani; the only Marine National Park of Albania Sazan-Karaburun; there are found high mountains, clean fresh waters; monuments of nature, monuments of culture; the ancient city of Orik, the medieval castles of “Gjon Bocari” and “Sofo”; the old church of “Marmiroi”, the fantastic caves of “Duk Gjoni” and “Haxhi Aliut”; the National Park of Llogara and many other touristic sites and objects.

The American travel writer once again writes about Albania

Tim Neville: Albania is high on my list
He has traveled worldwide, has written for prestigious media as the New York Times, has seen the culture of different countries, however, Tim Neville, says that he would wholeheartedly to live in Albania, had a small house in the edge of a beach or up in the mountains, to eat Albanian food and learn Albanian language. Once again, the famous American journalist takes the opportunity to demonstrate the values of Albania, the country to whom he has fall in love.

(Un)common winter impressions....

Rescuing the Rabbit

Catherine Bohn
This isn't so unusual.  Already this winter  I've trudged through thin flakes, swirling flakes, fat wet blobs of stuck-together flakes that stick again, flakes so light you can barely tell if they're going up or down, dull flakes, mysterious flakes that appear overnight where there definitely weren't any flakes the night before, flakes that melt as you watch them, unable to stand up to the light of day, flakes that come, flakes that go.  All sorts of flakes really.
What strikes me as odd about this snow is how you couldn't tell when it started that this wasn't just any flakes, more flakes, but a dull white unapologetic, unremitting, end-of-the-world sort of a snow.  The snow is gentle – soft little flakes descending, and descending – falling in soft swirls.  And it isn't so much that they've covered everything, and covered it again, covering themselves as fast as they can.  It's that the whole world is disappearing  into it.  The snow isn't rising, the world appears to be sinking.  Falling away, swallowed up under a cold new white horizon.

For all those who want more

KITE SURF IN ALBANIA

Kite surfing with surf or pulling out a flask-sail, is surely one of the most innovative and exiting sports and to be practiced during the third millennium on the planet.
Practitioners worldwide are out and added to all developing regions
coastal lagoons and lakes suitable for this discipline.
I would point to the extraordinary development of tourism on the beaches of north-eastern Brazil, where small fishing villages live in symbiosis with hotels, camping and Pensions 'pousadas' - which are populated from April to January by international kite surf clans.
